Jim and Kim went to The Samba Room restaurant, the scene of their
first date. Kim thought we were going to have a typical romantic evening. She wore the
same dress as she did on our first date, but this time I arranged to have a table on
the patio by the water.
Unknown to Kim, I had already received the ring, puchased about 5
dozen long stem roses, and bunches of other fragrant flowers. As we reviewed the
menu and ordered drinks, Jim's plan began. The drinks arrived, quickly followed by a
procession of waiters and restaurant staff bringing vase after vase of flowers. The
whole table was filled, and Kim knew what was up by about the third vase.
The patrons all around us grew silent as the table filled with
flowers. As Jim, on bended knee, finished his proposal and Kim accepted, the whole
restaurant exploded into applause as Jim put the ring on her finger. Of course Kim and
Jim almost didn't notice as they kissed, and kissed, and kissed, ... ... ... ...
